Let's Make a Team!

Flowerbowl. Regionals. Nationals.

It may be a lofty goal, but it's all taking place in British Columbia this Summer. We are trying to get a practice roster together for both Open and Women's division (for those uninitiated to the lingo, Open is Men's. Except it's open to women. It's a complicated system, but that's what happens when you play an extremely inclusive sport).

As a kickoff to practices starting this Spring, KUPS would like to provide some pitchers of beer and appies at Dakoda's on Thursday, March 8 at 7pm. We'd like to suss out interest, get some contact info for a gender specific email list, and work out our practice time options.

On the Open side, Andy Collins; Furious George, Nationals and Worlds player, has offered to assist with practices, drills and coaching.
On the Women's side, Ashlee Davison; Traffic, Nationals and Worlds player, has offered to assist with practices, drills and coaching.

We are very lucky to have these assets on our side (yes, I did just refer to Andy and Ashlee as the property of KUPS. Thank you, tangible resources!). They know the game at an extremely competitive level, they have a plethora of drills and instruction to impart upon us, and they are both happy to help.

If you are interested in improving your game, this is the best way to go. If you can't make it on Thursday, feel free to contact communications@kelownaultimate.com, where your information can be added to the list of interested parties.

Final Note: It's the last two weekends of Indoor! Saturday in Vernon, Sunday in Kelowna. That's it before Spring starts. And that's not until April. Yeesh.

That is all.
